Tuscany painting - WIP

Hi Everyone, another rainy day here but that's okay as it really helps my creative juices to flow...lol. I was in the studio this afternoon and I completed my drawing on the canvas for my Tuscany landscape painting. The hardest part is done now. I will now move onto blocking in colour.

Margaux's Ballerina Friends

Hi Everyone, I got side tracked today from my Tuscany painting....lol. Instead I did this illustration in colour pencil. I will explore this new painting idea for my little niece Margaux's. Something girly and sweet as all little girls like to do ballet, dance and twirl ♥

Proud Aunty

Hi Everyone, just wanted to let you all know my blog friends that my sister had her baby Friday at 11:41 pm - May 22. She is a big baby - 9 lbs - 21 inches long.

I just got back from visiting from Montreal. I drove down early Saturday morning as I could not wait to see my little niece: Margaux. She is abosultely beautiful. She has the cutest button nose and beautifully shaped lips, long fingers and she makes little sighs when she sleeps. I see myself and sister so much in her! A real little princess. I cant believe how so much in love I am with her.

I want to thank you all so much for your wishes and kind words. You are such wonderful friends. Have a great week. It's raining here and I am happy! Will be good for my garden and the plants. I also can spend time working away on my new Painting and a new painting for my niece - something cute and pink for her little bedroom. I think this will be one spoiled little baby...LOL

Framing

Hi Everyone, TGIF! As I am writing this post my younger sister Mary is in the hospital and started labour. She went in this morning and was induced, so the labour has started and it won't be too long now till the little baby is born. I can hardly wait to be an auntie and Godmother! We dont know the sex of the baby yet, so perhaps you would like to make a wish!

I also framed my Tuscany Poppies Painting and it is hanging in the front entrace of our home. I really like it there. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Dreaming of Tuscany

Hi Everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend. We had a very nice long weekend. It was Victorida day here on Monday and we had the day off. We did lots of gardening and work around the house, deck, etc.

Today I managed to work on a new idea and sketch for a new painting. My new painting will be the beautiful hillside of Tuscany with all the beautiful colours. It is a sketch from my imagination. I looked at lots of pics today from our travels to beatiful Tuscany and I could not find the exact pic I was looking for, so I created my own of the stunning Tuscany hills, landscsapes, etc. I was dreaming of the beauty and wish I was there...

I cant wait to paint this one. I have been wanting to do this since a very long time...since I was living in Denmark. Thought I would share the pic with you of my sketch.

Also some pics attached of my own villa in Cumberland, in Ontario...lol. Its not Tuscany but we love it! Have a great week everyone and happy painting

"Poppies" Under the Tuscan Sun

Hi everyone, I am happy to say that I finished my latest painting. I am very happy with my new "Poppies" painting. It was very hard to get a really good photograph. Photographing the reds was very challenging. The warm highlights of the oranges and yellow are not showing up like in the original painting, nor are the dark reds. I will try and photograph tomorrow again.

In the meantime here are two pics (a crop) and long view of my new painting:

HI Everyone, I managed to do lots of work yesterday on my painting. I am just about done. I need to model the flowers today with some nice lights and darks and I need to do some more work on the background.

I have really been enjoying this painting. I am anxious to see it finished. Wishing you all a wonderful, creative day.

New Painting idea: Poppies

Hi Everyone, Working on a new painting idea. I have wanted to paint this painting for some time now. Finally getting to it. It will be about poppies this time. I will paint the painting on a long irregular canvas 35 x 90 cm.

Here is a very rough sketch of my idea.
