TV interview with my muskoka chair for charity

Hi Everyone, I am pleased to announce that I was on Ottawa A Morning Show today March 29th with my Muskoka Chair for Charity. It was such a great time I did not want to leave the set. Lianne Lang, one of the the hosts, was just lovely and it was really interesting to see the studio and how it all works. Jill Alexander another popular local artist was also on the show with with her beautiful Chair. Both chairs will be displayed at the Ottawa Cottage Show from April 8-10 2011 at Lansdowne Park. And will be available for auction on Ebay by Cottage Dreams. Visit their website: www.cottagedreams.org for more info to bid on the chairs.

Here is the video from the interview on A Morning Ottawa:

I am hoping the TV exposure will give the chairs some great exposure for the upcoming cottage show and auction. The chairs will be displayed at the Cottage Show from April 8-10 at Lansdowne park in Ottawa. Visit http://www.caneastshows.com/ for more information about the Cottage Show. The auction will be from April 6 – 11 2011 organized by the Charity “Cottage Dreams” and it will be an Ebay auction. This way everyone can bid on the chairs. The auction will be for a long period so that’s good as it gives time for the people interested to come down and see the chairs live at the Cottage show. To find out more about the auction, you can visit: Cottage Dreams Website http://www.cottagedreams.org/ (attached is the poster of the chairs that have been painted by 4 local artists and will be available for auction). They also have a facebook account. Wishing you all a great day! And thanks for all your support. I really appreciate it!

Illustration Friday "Cultivate"

Hi Everyone, TGIF!!! Beautiful day here in Ottawa and the snow is slowly melting away. Can't wait for spring and summer. Anxious to plant our garden. So it's appropriate that this week's theme over at Illustration Friday is "Cultivate".

Yes, I can't wait to plant my garden and cultivate all its rewards. Along with painting I love cooking and fine food. So my submission this week is my Tuscany Delights painting...all the wonderful things and fresh food cultivated in Italy.

Fresh off the easel "Colours of Liguria"

Hi Everyone, I finished my latest painting: "Colours of Liguria". The Liguria coast runs from the French border (Ventimiglia all the way to La Spezia) Popular towns along its coast : San Remo, Allassio, Genoa, Portofino, Cinque Terre, etc. The buildings are these wonderful warm colours. I love Italy and its brilliant Liguria Coast.
