Hi Everyone, my friends asked me if I could do some revisions to their Little House painting. I really did not want to do these changes but they are the customer. They asked if I could add some more yellow and rose to the house and put add some yellow light in their kitchen window, and a bit more white reflections to the glass windows . So here are the changes:
And the Original One
(I like them both, but I prefer my original painting). I would really appreciate any of your comments about the revisions.

Hi Lisa, well I am like u, they are both great looking, I tend to go for the original as well, but the added colours add a certain warmth, I suppose but all in all great work love mom
I can't BELIEVE the nerve! Making changes to such a perfect painting! Says more about the person than your work of art Lisa.
Lisa, your work is so amazing! I love your colors. Bright colors are my passion! I wanted to ask you what you use to do your sketches - it looks like maybe Neocolor II crayons? I love your sketches as much as your paintings. Your blog is very interesting, and it just looks like you are one FUN and FUNKY lady LOL :-) You go girl!
Hi Lisa...
The painting is perfect...it was perfect in the original and the additional colour does add something....
Your work is perfecto!!! and you are so talented...I enjoy each and every painting...
Have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Diana
Hi Mom, Thanks for the comments.
Hi anonymous. Thanks for the feedback. This is why I really do not like doing commissions. Thanks for the lovely comments.
Hi Deborah, Thansk for the very kind words...so kind of you! For my sketches I often use - crayola crayons, lol...or pastels.
Hi Diana, really appreciate you dropping by and thanks for the feedback...have a great day :)
hmmm Lisa
I thought your original was quite perfect in every way....
I can understand why commissions can be difficult....
whatever happened to artistic licence?...is all I am going to say re commissions...
I am reminded of the words of Modigliani when his client criticised the portrait that he was painting of her daughter...
he asked the child whether she liked the portrait....she answered yes ...he took it off the easel.....and gave it to the child ..then handed his paintbrush to the mother ...and left !!!
most satisfying....
I refused many commissions last year and will continue to do so if the client tells me how to paint a portrait....or any other subject for that matter....
talented artists like you are rare and I gain pleasure from your two paintings (that live at our home)
every single day !
your paintings have brought sunshine to our home...
as a fellow artist I would have never considered asking you to modify them in any way !!!
hugs and xxxxx
Kim

MMm....Actually I like the light in the kitchen window and the way it balances out the painting and makes the night time seem even more apparent and magical. But as for the other changes, I don't think it needed them. I love this painting, BTW!

Hi Everybody and Hi sweet Lisa,
Miss you and Andreas here on Hauchsvej Copenhagen.
We love and enjoy your painting and the sweet naive and romantic expression. You small changes has given the painting a better balance and a "magic touch" that this house actually have. I guess you already know that as we spend quite a few dinners together as on the painting.
Big hugs Carsten
