Fasnacht / Carnival time has started in Switzerland

Yeah! Basel Fasnacht Celebrations have started in the Catholic Cantons of the Basel Land and our area in Hofstetten-Fluh!  Wonderful parades, costumes and great Guggenmusik over the weekend. And then the Big Basel Fasnacht starts on the 27th February with morgenstreich. Wishing everyone in Switzerland a wonderful Fasnacht/carnival time. I share with you some of my Basel themed paintings! 24th Wedding Anniversary! Let the good times roll

Time flies! 24 years ago today my cutie and I were officially married in Basel Stadt, Switzerland! And much to our surprise we are now back living here. It's been an exciting, beautiful journey with you so far 💖. We have had quite the travel adventure since we first met!

Feeling Nostalgic - Drawing I did when I was 11 that won a contest

I was cleaning some files and came across this old newspaper clipping my dad gave me.  My drawing I did at 11 years old won a Christmas contest and was selected by a Garage company for their Christmas Greetings and featured in the local newspaper.  Thought I would share the picture

Alassio, Liguria Coast Italy

Hi Everyone, back from our little vacation to Alassio Italy.  Had an amazing time.  We first visited Alassio back in 1996 when we were married on our honeymoon in Menton, France.   We drove from Menton to Alassio along the coast line which took about 1 hour and 20 mins.  We loved it so much that we went back a few other times for our summer vacation when we were living in Basel from 1996-2001.   So 22 years later we just went back to celebrate our 22nd Wedding Anniversary.  We stayed at the lovely hotel Diana right on the beach.     A few pics to share.
