Fresh off my Easel. New Provence Painting

Finally...Fresh off my Easel! Took some fast pics with my phone of my new painting of Provence to share with you all. It was nice painting this one, daydreaming of our past vacations in Provence visiting the beautiful villages and enjoying the beautiful Rosé wines of the area. My new painting "Rosé Days in Provence" will be photographed professionally and soon be available as Fine Art Prints, etc.

My new sketch "Colors of Saint Tropez" for my next painting.  Added some color in pastels to my Saint Tropez sketch.  Adding color to my sketches, always helps me to see it come alive and plan for my painting. Next step to put it on canvas Have a great night everyone.

I decided to paint one of my fav destinations in France. I just love to travel to Provence and the Cote D'Azur area and Saint Tropez is a wonderful place I always visit.

Hi Everyone, hope the year is starting off well!  I have been visiting Provence today in my memories. We had such an amazing trip last Fall, that we are already planning to go back.  I will be doing a little series of more works from Provence; I recently painted Cassis harbour, so now its a Provencal village view. Here is my latest sketch for my new painting idea:  the lovely little village of Crillon-le-Brave in the Vaucluse de of Provence.

Colours of Cassis, Provence! Newest Painting!

Hi Everyone, A busy day today. Finally finished my Colours of Cassis! Les Couleurs de Cassis! Painting Fresh off my Easel! My painting from our memories from our beautiful trip to Cassis, Provence.     I am very happy with the results.  Fine art prints, canvas prints and greeting cards will soon be available of this new painting.

Hi Everyone, lots more work yesterday.  Some fine details on my building awnings (wording) Another Busy day working on my Cassis Painting. Almost finished the boats. Then I tackled the water today. Here is where I am now.

Hi Everyone,  This where I am now. Lots more work done today on all the boats, and light posts and the awnings. Still quite a bit left to do, but I see it coming together. The water will be last!

Hi Everyone, Boy after a great busy weekend, it was hard to get back into this painting. Momre work on the buildings, awnings and finally tackled those boats this morning. Cant wait to see them finished.

Wip 7 & 8, Colour of Cassis, Provence Painting

Hi Everyone,  Started some outlining and some definition work on some of the buildings,  Seeing it coming together now. Back to my easel, to finish more work on the buildings. I think I will be tackling those boats another day.

Wip 6 Colours of Cassis Continues

HI Everyone, A bit more work this afternoon.  I blocked in all the colour now and added another coat to the sky.   Tomorrow I will start to outlining everything, and then hopefully also colour to the boats and definition.  I will do the water in the very final stages.

WIP 5 continues - My Colours of Cassis, Provence Painting

Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a great Christmas Holiday and are all having a great start to 2016.  I had a lovely relaxing Christmas.  I wanted to start work in my studio after the nice break, but we had  a heat wave last week here in South Africa, so it was too hot in my studio.  

Today, finally in my studio working again after a nice Christmas break.  Here is my WIP so far of m Colour of Cassis, Provence painting. Blocked in more colour and a little shadowing. Tomorrow I will block in the colours for the boats.

Hi Everyone, Started work on my Colours of Cassis painting.  Completed my  drawing on canvas.  Nex I will outline now in a thin wash of paynes grey then start colour block in.
