Yeah! Basel Fasnacht Celebrations have started in the Catholic Cantons of the Basel Land and our area in Hofstetten-Fluh! Wonderful parades, costumes and great Guggenmusik over the weekend. And then the Big Basel Fasnacht starts on the 27th February with morgenstreich. Wishing everyone in Switzerland a wonderful Fasnacht/carnival time. I share with you some of my Basel themed paintings! 5 days left to visit the exhibit (Feb 1-15) at Art Lab Gallery in LA, California. Busy past few days working on a new painting idea. Attached my little sketch for my next painting. As you can see...I am dreaming of the tropics and beach Would love to be in that colorful little beach cottage right now! I have been wanting to paint a scene like this for a long time. Next step to draw it on my canvas and start the painting process! Have a great week everyone.
