New painting Idea:  Some colour added to my Calla Lily sketch for my next painting. Although its only January, I am thinking of beautiful Spring that will be coming.  Nice to have an early Spring in Switzerland.

New Painting for 2020 - Koi Fish and Water Lilies

My1st painting of 2020, I finally got around to finishing my koi, water lily pond painting. Took longer then I anticipated. I am pleased with the outcome. "Aquatic Jewels", 60x80 fresh off my easel. Water Lily Koi pond sketch

Coloured added to my water lily koi pond sketch. I did my flowers in all white (what I have decided) and then in photoshop I added pink fill in colour to just have a comparison and satisfy me, as this is another idea I had thought about. Thought I would show you both. My thoughts: White flowers more subdued not the first thing you notice. Pink flowers looks very nice also but the first thing you notice. If you like, let me know what you like best? As for a combo of both, I did not like this idea for the amount of flowers in the composition was looking too busy for the amount. In South Africa, we had a fountain pond with some koi which Andreas bought and loved and they did well and even bred. So this gave me some ideas....Did some sketching this afternoon; Water lily pond with Koi. Thinking of the colours now? white lilies, pink lilies or mixture of both?
