Welcome to my Studio Blog
Take a peek into my studio and See what inspires me to create my paintings and what’s been happening in my studio and on my travels.
I love to travel, see new places and meet new people. I love to create bold colourful paintings, many of them based on my wonderful travels.
Hi everyone, I need to do a painting for our entrance. My entrace colours are a reddish brown on one wall, and the other where the painting will hang is a sort of a dark beige/light brown colour. If you have crayola crayons - it would be the colour tumbleweed....lol ( I like to use crayons for my fast sketches)

So here is by basic idea I have been thinking about the past couple of days. I just did some very fast sketches today and here is the one that I sort of like.....perhaps it might turn into a painting. And you would think that I would be sick of leaves...lol. I think they have consumed me. Have a great week everyone.
This morning I did another sketch - as the canvas in question is 30 x 90 and narrow one, so perhaps this composition might be better

On a cold November night, they mixed martinis and pretended they were on vacation in a swank boutique hotel. Cheers
Now that I finished my big commission painting, I finally had a chance to sit down and do some fast sketches for my next painting. It will be painted on a long canvas 35 x 120 cm - portrait for over our bed's headboard. I dont' have any paintings for our bedroom and it needs a little colour. This painting will be white frangipanis with some teal greenish blue and brown background to match the colours in our room
The other night my husband and I attended the Ottawa Senator's hockey game at the Scotia Place and we met our Prime Minister, Mr. Stephen Harper at the game. He was sitting very close to us. He was very nice and we took a picture with him, he even held my beer for the pic..LOL. He seems so much taller then us as he was standing on the step above. It was a great game btw and the Senator's won.
Hi Everyone,
Sorry it has been long overdue since I post something on my studio blog. This summer has been just so busy for us. We have had many guests and lots of work to do around our home. Then came Fall and the yard work was heavy. I have never done so much raking. Anyways, we finally hired some guys to do the raking in the back. I never thought this house of mine would be so much work. However, I do love our home and property, so as my dad said "When you love your Trees your love your Leaves"...LOL
Anyways, I have finally had a chance to finish my commission painting - 120 x 100 cm. This painting is based on a combination of my Beach Colours series and my Italian Summer's End painting. The painting is entitled "Mary's Summer Delight" I will be varnishing shortly and delivering to my customer. She saw a pic of the painting and is very pleased.
Wishing you all wonderful week. We are having some amazing Spring like weather here in Ottawa.
And a few pics of some Fall shots at my home:
