Hi Everyone, I finally finished my orchid painting and I am very pleased with the result. I love the way background turned out and the white orchids really come to alive on this colourful sunset background.

My Floral Artwork Inspires Students

I am pleased to mention that my "Pansy Parade" painting from my Funky Floral series was the inspration to Year 6 students at the Marian Vian Primary School in Beckenham, Kent, England.

"The theme of the Gallery this term is spring flowers. Year 6 were inspired by the work of a Canadian artist Lisa Lorenz.
The children used wax crayons to draw the pansies"

Back from Beautiful Mexico

Hi Everyone, sorry I have not been blogging lately, but I decided on a last minute trip to Mexico. We stayed at the beautiful Valentin Imperial Maya in Riviera Maya. It's a gorgeous, first class all adult resort. The beach, the grounds, the rooms, food and service was excellent. It is the best all inclusive resort I have ever been to, and I can't wait to go back.

I am bursting with inspiration after seeing all the beautiful foliage, ocean and colours during my stay. Now its time to get back in my studio and finish my orchid painting and begin some more. Wishing you all a lovely week ahead and happy painting!

New painting idea - orchids

Hi Everyone, hope you all had a nice productive week. Now that the holidays are over, I have gotten back in to my daily routine and have been spending lots more time in my studio. My next painting is a floral scene of orchids. Here is my very rough sketch of my new painting I am working on. I will be doing this one a long irregular size canvas (35 x 90 cm). First painting of 2010

Hi Everyone, firstly, I want to wish you all a Very Happy New Year and all the best for 2010. Hope you all have much love, health, happiness and many new artistic endeavours for the New Year. I finally finished my Venice painting and I am very pleased with the results. As I was painting this one, I was dreaming of beautiful Venice and hope to go there in the near future again.
