Hi everyone, I am very happy to announce that I was selected by the Cottage Show Organization as one of 4 local artists to paint a Muskoka chair and donate it to the Show for auction this April 8-10, 2011 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa. Hi Everyone, Voila..my first painting fresh off the easel for 2011. This is a painting of the beautiful famous La Fenice Teatro in Venice. I just love this Theatre. The building was burnt down on January 1996 and was rebuilt to its original stature. The new Fenice hosted its inaugural performance on December 14, 2003. Thank goodness..its a beautiful building with lots of history. I love it! I will be entering my painting into an upcoming competition where the theme is "A Night at the Theatre". Wish me Luck!
Hi Everyone, Happy Little Christmas to you all and I hope you are all sliding well into the new year. I have been quite busy with a few projects. I finished my first rough sketch for 2011 for my first painting. I am going to enter the painting when finished in an upcoming juried competition on January 22, 2011 for an upcoming art show at the Shenkman Arts Centre.
The theme is a "Night at the Theatre". As I adore Venice, I decided to do the beautiful and famous La Fenice Teatro. So here is my very rough sketch for my next painting:
