Hi Everyone, This Thanksgiving weekend I was exhibiting at the West Carleton Art Show in the quaint little town of Carp, Ontario where the lovely Carp Farmer's market is held every Saturday from 8 am till 1 pm.. It was a very nice exhibition and I met a few nice artists. The market brought in lots of peopl and I some paintings and many art cards. Now I am busy organizing for my next show - The Ottawa Art Expo at the end of the month.

The "Carp" Painting Theme Contest. 
Hi Everyone, I turned 43 today! My lovely husband Andreas took me out for a wonderful Italian Dinner at Stella Osteria in downtown Ottawa. One of my fav places. We had a wonderful evening.

Hi Everyone, had a wonderful time last night at the AOE Juried "Selections 2010" Art Show at the Shenkman Arts Centre. I mentioned in one of my past posts that my Orchid Oasis painting made the cut and was selected for the show. Last night was the Vernissage at the beautiful Shenkman Centre in Orleans, Ottawa. Here are a few pics from the event. The exhibit is showing in the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre, open daily 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., from September 30th to October 26th.

Hi Everyone, Further to my previous post, busy working on some new painting ideas. This sketch is a little scene of two carp fish in a pond. I will do this painting on a 30 x 40 cm canvas and enter the piece in my upcoming Carp, Ontario Juried Theme "Carp-the-Fish" display. A local Celebrity will judge the display and paintings. All pieces will be for sale. It is not compulsory but I thought it was a great idea by the organizing committee.
