Welcome to my Studio Blog
Take a peek into my studio and See what inspires me to create my paintings and what’s been happening in my studio and on my travels.
I love to travel, see new places and meet new people. I love to create bold colourful paintings, many of them based on my wonderful travels.

"Summer Colours" by Lisa Lorenz
Hi Everyone, I have been busy these days getting paintings, varnishings and framing done for the next Summer hanging on June 22nd at the Galerie de la Rive. Artwork which has been on display since March at the Gallery will be replaced with a totally new exhibition. I will be showing some new works during this period. The Official Vernisage will take place the weekend of August 22/23, 2009. If you have not seen my Funky Floral Series, take the opportunity to visit the gallery before the 22nd of June.
I just finished one today and it really makes me happy this little painting. It's all about Summer, the beautiful Maritimes. It makes me want to jump in this painting and go away on vacation and have some yummy lobster. The painting will also be framed in a silver wood box floating frame just like the one I framed my rainbow regatta in.

Hi Everyone, Just finished a little quickie painting of some sailboats and their colourful spinnakers racing on the Oresund in Copenhagen. When I lived in Copenhagen, we lived right by the sea in a suburb named Hellerup and it was beautiful to see all these boats from our balcony. I sure miss that view. There is just something so peaceful and beautiful about the sea! This painting will be going to Galerie de la Rive in Rockland on June 22nd and will be part of the summer exhibition to be held August 23rd from 1 - 4 pm.

Thought I would post a view of some sails on the Oresund in Copenhagen. Too bad most of the spinnakers were closed:
