Having Fun with Portraits

Lousy weather here again today and I am taking a wee break from my usual paintings. Having fun doing some quick little portraits.
Decided to paint my kid sister Mary. Done in watercolour pencil then with a thin wash of acrylics on top.

Hi Lisa
I can definitely tell that you are sisters - you both have the same twinkly smiles!!! and eyes. I love the contrasting colours....does your sister have a split personality?? lol...
hope your weather clears up soon....ours is very hot...but thankfully has cooled down the last few days

Hi Kim, Thanks for dropping by. Yep, many people say that Mary and I look alike. Something in the eyes for sure. I guess I painted it a split way because sometimes she had two very different sides..LOL - she can be sweet as pie and then she can have a tongue that spits venom..LOL...no one messes around with her..so that is good. Being the youngest of 3 she had to hold her own! And with a big dominering sister like me...LOL
Weather still lousy today..very grey and rainging again. Pefect weather to stay in cozy though and paint and sketch and play! LOL.
Happy to hear your weather is cooling down...too hot is not so nice either.
